DARK PLAY or STORIES FOR BOYS, written by Carlos Murillo and set in 2003 America, explores the true story of two teen boys’ struggle to feel love in a digital landscape. My design drew heavily from the military and cargo clothing trends of the day, all of which could be connected back to the then-current Iraq War and the pervasively trendy masculinity at the forefront of these characters’ minds.
